Modify the name of the ape binary when building from source?

I am trying to build from source on my Mac M2. When I run

git clone https://github.com/mozilla-ocho/llamafile
cd llamafile
make -j

an executable is created in o/tmp/ called .ape-1.10. My university IT security is blocking the execution of this binary because the filename makes it hidden.

I went though the Makefile and all the included files but cannot figure out how to customize the name of this executable so that it doesn't start with a . and get blocked by IT security.

Any ideas?
