General Summary

un-escape characters encoded into idf from OpenStudio

Detailed Description

As outlined here, OpenStudio escapes characters that would be problematic if they were directly written into idf files. However, EnergyPlus does not account for this encoding when it parses idf files, causing mangled strings to appear in various places. Ideally EnergyPlus should decode these characters when it parses idf files. And explicit escaping rules should be added to the specification:
