hi,

  when i compiled the perl-5.6.1 package that time it shows some error.
I tried to find that but ican't clear that error. I need your help to solve
the issue and compiled the package help what i can do.

error​:

ld​: fatal​: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to miniperl
gmake​: *** [miniperl] Error 1

Hi kumaresan,

Perl 5.6.1 is more than 10 years old. Perl 5.14.0 has just been
released yesterday. I don't know why you think you need 5.6.1, but you
probably don't. You may want to try a version of perl that was
released more recently.
