As per https://github.com/Yubico/python-fido2 : This library aims to support the FIDO U2F and FIDO 2 protocols for communicating with a USB authenticator via the Client-to-Authenticator Protocol

Also: https://github.com/google/pyu2f/blob/3e6ca1666aa0788f124ca5283c9c13045704ca22/README.md?plain=1#L3 : Support for pyu2f library is discontinued, because U2F is an outdated FIDO spec.
