controlled combobox with virtualizer takes very long to open/close popover

i have a controlled RAC Combobox, and am trying to combine it with the (unstable) Virtualizer - however, opening and closing the combobox popover takes very long when using a large list of items (~10.000) - am i doing something wrong?

Can you try giving a height or max-height to your popover/listbox?

How common is 10,000 items in your combobox actually?

i do have a case with 46.000 items - it's probably fine to always pass a sliced items list to the combobox, but i was curious if this could just work with virtualization.

I think it should work, but trying to gauge how to prioritize for triaging purposes.

It's interesting because we have a 1000x100 virtualized table example in our storybook for local development. And that run just fine. But it's not a Table built on RAC, it's a precursor. So I'm wondering if something in RAC's setup is causing this to run a whole bunch of extra things, or if it's the new Collections implementation that RAC uses, or if it's the new virtualizer that it's using.

Some investigation will need to be done.

not sure if i am interpreting it correctly, but from a performance profile i took it does seem like a lot of time is spent in Collection methods.

i updated the example repo to the nightly with the stable Virtualizer, and closing the combobox popover is still very slow. @snowystinger should this discussion be moved to an issue?
