Menu open on Drag Over?

Hi! I'm trying to implement pattern similar to Google Drive drag over menu item (see video). I'm a bit struggling to manage to open a menu on trigger hover. What's the best approach to achieve that?

You should be able to use useDrop on the menu trigger, and programmatically open it when onDropEnter is called.

I tried it that way, but it seems like since the focus is moving to menu, 'useDrop' triggers 'onDropExit' right afterwards.

What is the issue with useDropExit being called? The menu is open and you wouldn't be able to drop on the trigger anymore. If you're controlling the open state, you could ignore the onDropExit.
Maybe it'd be helpful to share some code in a codesandbox or stackblitz?
