Hello,
I am making an implementation of SponsorBlock as a Home Assistant automation for the YouTube client running on an Apple TV. After lots of hurdles with getting the data out of YouTube, skip segments are now working perfectly.

I would however like also implement mute segments. While lots and lots of videos have skip segments, I'm a bit unsure of what would qualify for a mute rather than a skip, so wondering if perhaps you have a list of videos with mute segments to use for testing? Or do you just use any video and manually sideload a list of mute segments.

Was also wondering how you would like to be credited and eventually found your attribution template. That "licensed used" sequence of words however sounds not at all grammatically correct. Surely the word "used" should not be there at all, only "licensed"?

Thanks for an excellent project!

Regards,
/Magnus

The grammar in the licence has been brought up before and has, funnily, been blindly copied by a lot of people.

On the leaderboard I use "..SponsorBlock data licensed under..". The phrasing doesn't have to be exact.

Regarding the mutes, you can either download the database (which is public) and manually search that, or I could maybe suggest using sb.ltn.fi - you can't do a global database search but you can search a user's submissions. If you find a user with a lot of segments (e.g. with the leaderboard), go to their sb.ltn.fi profile (example) and filter their submissions for "mute" segments using the search (example). Mutes are quite rare (I think ~0.1% of submissions) but you should at least find some segments to test with this way.

Since it's been a while since you asked this, you might consider joining the discord where you're likely to get a faster response. There's a dedicated channel for developers making 3rd-party integrations.
