gilfoyle

A python script that recreates Silicon Valley's Gilfoyle Bitcoin Alert as seen here:

Instructions

  1. Install python3.

  2. Install the following python modules

    • requests
    • subprocess

  3. Download script and mp3 file to the same directory.

  4. In Terminal, navigate to script directory.

  5. Run script using $ python3 gilfoyle.py

  6. Select Mode

GILFOYLE MODE[^1]

  1. Key "1".
  2. Press Enter.
  3. Key the threshold price that should trigger the alert.
  4. Press Enter.
  5. Key the desired polling frequency in seconds.
  6. Press Enter.

JERRY GARCIA MODE[^2]

  1. Key "2".
  2. Press Enter.
  3. Key the desired polling frequency in seconds.
  4. Press Enter.
