Comment:

I am trying to get miniforge installed and working on Windows, but running into this issue.
Executables signed by Anaconda Inc, the company behind Anacaonda/Miniconda have been blocked.
While miniforge install works, when trying to conda init or mamba init, I am blocked because of two .exe files:
miniforge3\libs\site-packages\conda\shell\cli-32.exe and cli-64.exe.

Any advice on whether there is a truly Anaconda free version of miniforge?

You can use micromamba or pixi as alternatives that don't contain binaries signed by Anaconda:

We (at prefix.dev) will look into producing signed binaries with a NumFOCUS key at some point.
