Would you be able to test the following changes with visual studio and let me know if you still the crash?

The error seems to indicate an issue with the Control key. I assume you have a German keyboard layout and that may be causing issues. Unfortunately, I'm not really an expert in that realm.

Played around some more and I think the changes I've made kind of work. There's some wonky-ness with the interface and the hotkey setting but hopefully someone can fix that.

downloaded it and no errors, BUT now the mod doesn't find the fishing icon. It just freezes on the screen

Are you running the 8.0.0 version of the wow client or some older client?
