やりたいこと

Windows 2012 Server環境にfluent-plugin-windows-eventlogをインストールしてWindowsイベントログの監視を行いたいと考えています。
なお導入時に以下実施しております。
・Proxyの設定
・MSYS2のインストール

設定した内容

実行コマンド:
td-agent-gem install fluent-plugin-windows-eventlog

fluent-packageおよびtd-agent v4は、fluent-plugin-windows-eventlogを標準で組み込んでおり、そのため別途インストールする必要はないはずです。
何か別途インストールが必要になった事情などございますか？

補足: インストールされているプラグインの確認例

次のようにtd-agent-gem listにつづけて検索したい文字列を入れると確認できます

td-agent-gem list windows

(補足: 最新パッケージであるfluent-packageでは、td-agent-gemコマンドの代わりにfluent-gemコマンドを使ってください)

ご回答ありがとうございます。
仮に標準で組み込まれているのであれば、既に導入されているプラグインをインストールしようとしたということになると思うのですが、その場合も「ログの内容」に記載したようなログがTd-agent Command Prompt上で出力されるのでしょうか？

プラグインの新しいバージョンがリリースされているので、その最新版を新たにインストールしようとしてしまいます。

fluent-plugin-windows-eventlog は winevt_c というライブラリに依存しております。
winevt_c はC言語で書かれたライブラリのため、インストールする際にコンパイラなどのビルドツールが必要となります。

MSYS2のインストールされているとのことですが、MSYS2インストール直後ですとビルドツールがインストールされていない可能性がございます。

以下のコマンドを実行して gcc と make コマンドをインストールしてください。

ridk exec pacman -S gcc make

手元で試してみたのですが、td-agent v4.5.3 では Ruby 2.7 と古いバージョンを使用しているのですが、その Ruby 環境と最新のコンパイラを組み合わせるとビルドエラーが発生するようでした。

C:/opt/td-agent/lib/ruby/gems/2.7.0/extensions/x64-mingw32/2.7.0/winevt_c-0.11 .1/mkmf.log の内容を見て頂けるとエラー内容を確認できます。

私の環境では以下のようなエラーとなっていました。

申し訳ありませんがこのエラーを回避するのは困難です。

その代わりに、fluent-package LTS v5.0.5 など新しいバージョンを使用して頂けると Ruby 環境が新しいためインストールに成功するようでした。

Fluent Package Command Prompt を起動して、以下のようにコマンドを実行してみてください。

余談ですが、Ruby の環境上で gcc や make など MSYS2 環境のツールを利用する際には ridk exec と ridk tool を動かして環境を設定する必要があります。

Ruby2.7で最新のコンパイラを使用するとビルドエラーが発生するとのことですが、最新ではない、古いバージョンのコンパイラであれば問題なく使用できるということでしょうか？
もし上記認識合っておりましたら、Ruby2.7で動作するバージョンをお教えていただけないでしょうか？

作業について、以下のような流れで導入できる認識なのですが合っているでしょうか？
①https://rubyinstaller.org/downloads/archives/からインストーラー(exeファイル)をダウンロードする。
②ローカル上でexeファイルを実行し、インストールする。
③Td-agent Command Promptを管理者権限で実行し、fluent-plugin-windows-eventlogをインストールする。

補足です。
別スレッドで回答いたしましたが、fluent-plugin-windows-eventlogはデフォルトで梱包されているので、最新版がほしいなどの特別な事情がない限りは再インストールは不要です。

最新版がほしいなどの特別な事情がある場合にかぎり、この手順をご利用ください。
