in the next update (2024) cra might be replaced with vite but not with a react framework such as next.js or remix since for a beginner it is easier to start with fewer moving parts. a framework might be introduced in a later part

cra has been replaced with vite. there might be later on a new part on next.js, the recent version had some big api changes and it needs still to mature a bit before the new part is meaningful for this course
