Overview

We need to clean up our slack channels since we have several channels that aren't being used. Product Management is continuing to ask us to clean this up.

Action Items

  • Pull Files+Notes and put it in Wiki (and/or drive), then remove the following slack channels:

  • 311-data-dev

  • 311-data-analysis

  • Change Permissions to public

  • 311-engineering

  • Rename

  • 311-engineering -> 311-data-engineering

  • Make announcements

  • Post changelist in #311-data

  • Post in affected channels how the channel has been updated

  • Remove / clean up Pinned items in 311-data-engineering

Instructions

  • most operations will probably require us to reach out to #admin on Slack since we don't have the permissions.
  • try to group all changes within one ask on the #admin channel

I added "Pull Files+Notes" to step 1 because I'm noticing some interesting files that we may want to store in our team drive in #311-data-analysis. Let's do the same for all channels that we end up archiving.
