configSha256 mismatch after update nix daemon

Hello.

I use crane with my private registry
I started with nix v2.16.x
I set configsha256

Now I update nix to v2.26.x
I try to build my flake.nix
building stops with error

error: hash mismatch in file downloaded from 'http://domain/config.json':
         specified: sha256:1
         got:       sha256:2

Why did It find difference?
Does it not sha256 hash function?

Hi @ava57r thanks for the report! Unfortunately I really can't offer much help with such little (sanitized) context. Is this mismatch from one of your own sources? Is this a mismatch with a git checkout?

Happy to take a closer look if you can provide a(n ideally minimal) public flake I can reproduce

I can not reproduce while.
I tried create a new crate and build it in docker: ubuntu 24.04 + nix-setup-systemd v2.18.1

It works fine.
