I'm out of ideas, maybe someone can help :)
I'm playing a game ("sweet transit"), in windows 11, with kanata 1.7, using wintercept. Keys that I have configured like
(tap-hold 0 200 spc lsft)
don't reliably make the game react tospc
, 1 out of ~5 times the key is ignored. It only happens withtap-hold
multi-use keys. It works fine when mapped as aspc
plainly.I don't think it's a kanata bug, but hopefully someone here has some ideas what it could be. This is what I know:
Especially that last point made me think it's a timing problem? Maybe in this case
spc down
andspc up
come too fast? Is there a way to do something like(hold-for-10ms spc)
to simulate a longer keypress? I did try(macro 50 spc)
even though it doesn't make so much sense, and the strange thing is: In this case it works almost never, the key is generally ignored.I see clean down and up events however using the event viewer.
Any ideas are welcome :) I might go and try to talk to the game developers, but I imagine this is too niche for them to care. I don't even quite know where to begin hehe.
