Looks like Kreative PowerPaint supports a good number of formats with original code too.

It would be truly awesome if there was a command line converter program that could take an input image and output a PNG file.

If you can point me towards the correct classes/methods to call in order to load an image then save it as PNG, then I could probably code one myself. It would be most appreciated!
