Highlight when searching can be misplaced

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Open the pdf
2. Search for "acting as single judge" (whitespaces must be doubled)

What is the expected behavior? (add screenshot)
Highlights on match should be well positioned.

What went wrong? (add screenshot)
Highlight for "as" is too low.

It's very likely an other regression caused by #13171 (in the css).

Similar issue when I select the word Mitarberterinnen in the pdf in issue #13226 we can see some misplaced spans (which contain a space).
