Thanks for reporting the issue. This appears to be a JPEG with a soft mask applied. Soft masks weren't previously being applied to natively supported jpegs, but there's a pull request to resolve this issue #926.
Here is a pdf that loads but the rendering of the shaded graphics results in an incorrect background color:
