A user mentioned in openzim/kolibri#109 that he would like us to activate the "Discussions" feature on kolibri repository.

I don't think this is a decision which can be taken at the repository level, at least not without having discussed about it globally.

I'm not in favor of opening the "Discussions" feature in Github, we already have a Slack + the possibility to ask important questions through Issues, I do not feel like opening yet another channel is worth it.

WDYT?

From what I understand, Discussions are for the community at large to discuss about said project. It's like a forum, but next to the repo.

While I understand how this is different and in theory would be independent of the team, it would still be our responsibility to look after it.

Let's just record that one person suggested it in 2024.
