Hi everyone,
Dear GitHub Support,
I have submitted a work order on GitHub Support, but no one has responded to me.
I am writing to express my extreme frustration and dissatisfaction with the sudden suspension of my GitHub account. This is absolutely unjustified and makes me deeply upset and anxious, especially considering the situation of my account and the lack of proper communication from you.
I tried to log in to my GitHub account today and found that my account was suspended without any prior warning. While checking my email, I found several notifications about my education verification issues (see attached screenshots). This was the only reason for the suspension, but I was never properly notified or given any chance to resolve the issue before my account was completely locked. I tried to communicate and I can no longer log in.
The email mentioned that the education verification process failed. At first, I didn't think much of it - after all, I was just learning code on GitHub and I thought the verification failure would not affect my account. However, when I tried to access my GitHub account later, I was shocked to find that my account had been completely suspended and could no longer be searched.
I followed the instructions in your email and attempted to get in touch via the contact form provided, only to be met with numerous technical errors, such as server overload messages and errors that prevented me from submitting my appeal. You have forced me to go through impossible hardships, and frankly, I am outraged.
Verification Process and Documentation: To be absolutely clear, the education verification process is completely legal. I have applied and submitted true, accurate, and valid student documentation. I went to great lengths to request a valid .edu email from my school - because apparently, GitHub has changed its requirements. I followed all the rules, provided all the necessary materials, and nothing was false or fabricated. Yet, despite this, my account was suspended for no reason.
I have never violated GitHub's Terms of Service, and I use this account only for legitimate development. This is a platform I trust, and now I find myself in the ridiculous situation of having my account blocked simply because of a technical issue in the verification system.
Unacceptable treatment of my personal information: What really disgusts me is that I had to reveal so much personal information to GitHub just to use basic features, only to have my account suspended without any adequate explanation. The entire process feels like an invasion of my privacy and the disrespect for me as a user is simply insulting.
This is absolutely unacceptable, and I demand that my account be reinstated immediately. I will provide all necessary verification documents, including my student ID, academic records, and any other proof required to resolve this issue. However, I will not tolerate further delays or unnecessary obstacles.
I cannot stress enough how important my GitHub account is to me. It is home to several important projects that I have developed. The suspension of this account puts my work, and the work of others who rely on my repositories, at serious risk.
If this is how GitHub treats its users—especially those who have been following the rules and acting in good faith—then I am deeply disappointed in the platform. I demand a proper and immediate review of my case and hope that my account is immediately reinstated, as well as my student status.
I expect a clear, direct response, not more mistakes, not more delays, and certainly not more disrespect.
(This is my school email address [email protected], the attachment is the email I received when my account was blocked, and my online student status report)
Sincerely,

TangZhijie
