changing the LDAP host in the wizard to a missing one takes a long time before the wizard set it as invalid configuration

Steps to reproduce

1. Set up a valid LDAP configuration (the wizard configuration status should be ok)
2. Change the host of the LDAP server in the configuration to a missing one

Expected behaviour

There is some kind of activity while the wizard set the configuration as invalid

Actual behaviour

The wizard doesn't show activity until it set the configuration as invalid. If this takes some time the user could think that the configuration (the host in this case) is valid, but it isn't

Server configuration

Operating system: ubuntu 14.04

Web server: apache 2.4.7

Database: mysql

PHP version: 5.5.4

ownCloud version: OC 8.1 alpha 1

Updated from an older ownCloud or fresh install: fresh install

It's still happening in both versions. It depends on the time it takes to perform the check, not just the time to save the change.

Under normal circumstances, you make a change, the spinner shows, change is saved, spinner disappears, check is done, green / red status appears. The time while the check is being done is usually small, but if it takes some time (connection timeout. for example) there is no activity being shown to the user.

Please reopen in the [user_ldap app repo] https://github.com/owncloud/user_ldap if the problem persists in 10.0.4 with the latest user_ldap app from the marketplace.
