Function calls between stages of an animation in useTransition

Hello! First of all thanks for the library. I have a question, in version 8 is it possible to make calls to functions in the middle of an animation when using useTransition? Something similar to this:

const imageTransitions = useTransition(showTransition, null, {
    from: {
        // ...
    },
    enter: () => async next => {
      // do something at the beginning of the animation like dispatch a Redux action or set a state

      await next({
        top: toElement.toTop,
        left: toElement.toLeft,
        // ...
      });

     // do something in between

      await next({
        visibility: "hidden",
      });

      // do something after the animation visibility: "hidden" ends
      });
    },

// ...
