pixi-build-python exposes a flag BUILD_EDITABLE_PYTHON which allows one to override our current default behavior (editable for pixi install, not editable for pixi build).

If you try the following:

BUILD_EDITABLE_PYTHON=false pixi install --manifest-path docs/source_files/pixi_projects/pixi_build_python

it will fail with:

ERROR: Directory '$SRC_DIR' is not installable. Neither 'setup.py' nor 'pyproject.toml' found.
