Walkthrough

This pull request modifies the presetPlugins array in the Re:Earth platform by removing the layers category and introducing multiple new categories such as communication, viewerScene, layerStyles, camera, timeline, dataStorage, and sketch. It adds five new plugins: add3dTiles, addCsv, addCzml, addKml, and retains addGeojson. The overall structure of the PresetPluginCategory and PresetPlugins types remains unchanged, but the organization of the plugins has been significantly restructured.

🧹 Nitpick comments (8)
web/src/beta/features/PluginPlayground/Plugins/presets/index.ts (1)

36-37: Improve array formatting for better readability.

The plugins array would be more readable with proper spacing and line breaks.

-    plugins: [addGeojson,addCzml,addKml,addCsv,add3dTiles]
+    plugins: [
+      addGeojson,
+      addCzml,
+      addKml,
+      addCsv,
+      add3dTiles
+    ]
web/src/beta/features/PluginPlayground/Plugins/presets/layers/add-csv.ts (1)

40-40: Consider adding marker style configurations.

The marker object is empty but could benefit from default styling options for better visualization.

-  marker: {},
+  marker: {
+    style: "point",
+    pointColor: "#ff0000",
+    pointSize: 10
+  },
web/src/beta/features/PluginPlayground/Plugins/presets/layers/add-3Dtiles.ts (1)

37-37: Fix typo in comment.

The comment has a grammatical error.

- pbr: false, //invalid Physically Based Rendering
+ pbr: false, // Disable Physically Based Rendering
web/src/beta/features/PluginPlayground/Plugins/presets/layers/add-kml.ts (2)

29-31: Document the encoded KML structure.

The encoded KML string would benefit from documentation explaining the polygon structure it creates.

-// Define encoded KML in a variable
+// Define encoded KML in a variable
+// This KML creates a polygon with the following coordinates:
+// - Northwest: (-84.691, 55.719)
+// - Northeast: (-50.219, 54.914)
+// - Southeast: (-59.029, 10.029)
+// - Southwest: (-79.108, 10.498)

40-42: Fix typo in comment.

The comment has a spelling error.

- polygon: { // Write the feattures style
+ polygon: { // Write the features style
web/src/beta/features/PluginPlayground/Plugins/presets/layers/add-czml.ts (3)

13-13: Enhance the plugin description.

The current description "Add CZML" is repetitive and not very informative. Consider providing a more detailed description that explains what CZML is and what users can do with this plugin.

-    description: Add CZML
+ description: Add CZML (Cesium Language) layers to visualize time-dynamic 3D scenes. Supports both encoded CZML data and external CZML files.

29-31: Fix typo and add documentation for the encoded CZML.

The comment has a typo and the encoded CZML data needs documentation.

-// Difine encoded CZML in a variable
+// Define encoded CZML in a variable
+// This CZML data creates a red extruded polygon (height: 300000) in the US region

40-41: Fix typo in comment.

- // Write the feattures style
+ // Write the features style

5-8: LGTM! New imports are correctly ordered.

The imports for the new layer plugins are properly organized and consistent with the existing import style.

web/src/beta/features/PluginPlayground/Plugins/presets/layers/add-czml.ts (2)

51-51: Consider hosting the sample CZML file in a more permanent location.

The current URL points to a sample data repository which might not be maintained long-term. Consider:

  1. Including the CZML file in the project repository
  2. Using a more permanent CDN
  3. Documenting the expected format for users who want to use their own CZML files

79-83: LGTM!

The plugin export follows the standard structure and correctly includes all necessary files.

Line range hint 1-67: Consider restructuring for better scalability.

Based on the PR objectives and planned features (OSM 3D Tiles, MVT, WMS), consider organizing the layer plugins into more specific subcategories for better maintainability:

{
  id: "layers",
  title: "Data Sources",
  categories: [
    {
      id: "vector",
      title: "Vector Data",
      plugins: [addGeojson, addKml]
    },
    {
      id: "temporal",
      title: "Temporal Data",
      plugins: [addCzml]
    },
    {
      id: "tabular",
      title: "Tabular Data",
      plugins: [addCsv]
    },
    {
      id: "3d",
      title: "3D Data",
      plugins: [add3dTiles]
    }
    // Future categories for planned features
    // {
    //   id: "raster",
    //   title: "Raster Data",
    //   plugins: [addWms, addMvt]
    // }
  ]
}

This structure would:

  1. Group related plugins logically
  2. Make it easier to find specific data format plugins
  3. Provide a clear organization for future additions
