There is CLDR data for hiding the currency sign, but there is basically no data for the formal currency symbol variant.

Ticket to add that data: https://unicode-org.atlassian.net/browse/CLDR-18147

I don't think we should add the option to ECMA-402 until it is added upstream as per our usual policy of following behind CLDR.
