Preflight Checklist

  • I use the latest version of YouTube Music (Application).
  • I have searched the issue tracker for a feature request that matches the one I want to file, without success.

Problem Description

Youtube Music Uploads or Videos are not always normalized to 0dB. Therefore some songs in my playlist are way quieter which results in me constantly readjusting the volume.

Spotify has a feature where this issue is tackled and the same volume is used for every song.

Proposed Solution

YouTube seems to provide information about the normalized volume of a song if you check the "stats for nerds" tab. Maybe this could be read and the volume adjusted accordingly to 0db.

Alternatives Considered

I have tried the compressor feature but it doesn't seem to solve this issue but i can't confirm it as the compressor just made my songs really robotic and i turned it off.
