Describe the feature

In Issue #4611 one comment mentioned "auto-expanding snippets", i.e. snippets that expand automatically if the trigger is matched. I would love to see this feature implemented as I am writing a lot of latex and it makes it a whole lot easier.
The original comment got multiple upvotes as well, see here.

The only Code Editor I know of which has this functionality is Vim/NeoVim through the plugins UltiSnips or LuaSnips.
There exists a project for VSCode as well, called HyperSnips, but it's functionality is broken and apparently unmaintained.

This feature would make me switch to zed immediately :)

If applicable, add mockups / screenshots to help present your vision of the feature
