LGTM. So most of the impact here is from using multiGet()
. Very interesting.

We can easily do one cache lookup instead of two here:
const pendingKey = `get:${key}`;
const pendingTask = cache.getPendingTask(pendingKey);
if (pendingTask) {
pendingTasks.push(pendingTask);
pendingKeys.push(key);
} else {
missingKeys.push(key);
}
