There's certainly testing to be done to validate this, esp. also regarding if note 3 applies as well.

is there maybe a publicly accessible test web page?
WebKit/WebKit@3964337 appears to have a test case, but not as a web page…?

all tests done so far on macOS 14 Sonoma, not macOS 15 Sequoia, if that matters

Stay tuned... it turned out to be not fully enabled in Safari Technology Preview 214. So was removed from release notes. Thanks for asking!
