  • you don't need to have a copy of Pokemon Emerald in order to generate and
  • patch files are created much faster

Seeds generated with this apworld are compatible with 2.0.1 apworlds and vice versa.

This version comes with Archipelago 0.4.6.

Fixes:

  • Renamed Ho-oh to Ho-Oh
  • Temporary fix to prevent missing items when connecting to an in-progress slot using remote_items
  • Fixed Dewford Town water encounters not logically requiring Surf
  • Disable one of Kyogre's potential spawn locations (it will be re-enabled in the future when a fix is in place)

Changes since previous beta version:

  • Fix wonder trading getting itself stuck when two clients bounce off each other due to squaring the cooldown instead of doubling it
  • Fix death links sending at the start of a battle and preventing further death links from sending until the client is restarted
  • Fix receiving items triggering multiple step events (repel steps, using ladders, stepping on switches, etc.)
  • Fix large amounts of exp overflowing into the negatives by capping it
  • The level up fanfare is now properly randomized as a fanfare instead of bgm
  • The end theme (that plays during THE END on the credits) is no longer randomized (as it doesn't loop)
  • Dedupe Seafloor Cavern Room 4 - Team Aqua Grunt into Grunt 1 and Grunt 2
  • Fix allowed legendaries not being enforced in logic
  • Changed fanfares to only be skippable if they are randomized
  • Move man blocking Cave of Origin after Kyogre is released

Changes since previous beta version:

  • Added some debug statements to wonder trading. They will be removed for the actual release. These will still pop up even when everything is working correctly, but if things go wrong, they will help me to pinpoint what your client is trying to do when it fails.
  • Removed move tutor options, they are now bundled with TMs
  • tm_compatibility renamed to tm_tutor_compatibility
  • tm_moves renamed to tm_tutor_moves
  • reusable_tms renamed to reusable_tms_tutors
  • Move tutors can now have their compatibility changed
  • Move tutors now say the move they teach in their dialogue
  • Move tutors can be reused based on the reusable_tms_tutors option
  • Event tickets are now controlled by the new event_tickets option.
  • Rework match_trainer_levels and match_trainer_levels_bonus. Now you can choose between an additive or multiplicative bonus
  • Species controlled by misc_pokemon now obey your wild_encounter_blacklist
  • Modified a couple move/ability names in options to be more consistent with their Gen 3 spelling/format
  • Victory for the champion goal now sends when you beat Wallace rather than when you register in the hall of fame
  • Add a missed location in Lilycove for a man who gives you a berry
  • Fix crash when randomizing opponent teams without changing TM/HM compatibility
  • Fix using function non-existant in python 3.8, which caused an error during generation
  • Fix deathlinks sending just before you gain control of your character in the moving truck
  • Fix deathlinks sending when you soft reset
  • Fix party levels not being reset to their real values after receiving a deathlink while in a battle
  • Fix being able to take the ferry from Lilycove to Slateport even when you don't have the S.S. Ticket
  • Fix potential softlock caused by talking to Steven on Route 118
  • Fix berry trees being able to change state when they're randomized
  • Possibly address rare negative exp gain when matching trainer levels. Let me know if you still encounter this.

  • Fix non-encodable characters like # crashing the generator
  • Renamed some trick house locations for consistency
  • Added Trick House location group
  • Removed Postgame Locations location group, since it has been functionally replaced by automatic exclusion of those locations
  • Fix bug where blacklists for wild pokemon and opponent pokemon can be ignored when they should not be
  • Make opponent movesets much, much less likely to contain duplicate moves
