Description:
[Dark Shell] Mac 10.9: Brackets top chrome shows when in Full Screen mode on secondary monitor. This results in two Full Screen buttons being present when the Mac menu is showing, and the traffic lights don't work.

Repro on Mac 10.9 using this build:
http://webauthoringbuild.corp.adobe.com/builds/brackets/wrath-of-cocoa10655/mac/

Repro steps:
This bug seems to be a little intermittent.

  1. Install a dark-shell Mac build on Mac 10.9.
  2. Connect a second monitor to your Mac.
  3. Launch Brackets and make it non-maximized.
  4. Move Brackets over to the secondary monitor.
  5. Maximize Brackets (press the Green + button or do Window > Zoom).
  6. Click the Full Screen button in Brackets title bar to go into Full Screen mode.
  7. Mouse up at the top of the screen to bring up the Brackets title bar.
  8. Try clicking the green (max) and yellow (min) traffic light buttons

Actual results:
After step 6, Brackets' top chrome shows.
After step 7, there are two full screen buttons: one in the Mac title bar and one in the Brackets top chrome bar.
After step 8, clicking the green (max) and yellow (min) traffic light buttons does nothing.

Expected results:
No top Brackets chrome bar when in Full Screen mode.

Workaround:
Don't maximize Brackets before going into Full Screen on the secondary monitor.

FBNC @dalcala This should be fixed with the latest build.

Tested on Mac 10.9 using Dark Shell 10692. I still see the top chrome bar following the original steps. I no longer see the traffic light buttons and Brackets' full screen button though, so it's a little better, but it still looks kind of strange having two black bars on top, when there should be none.

@dalcala what happens on the primary monitor?

@jasonsanjose If I do the same steps on the primary monitor (max BK > go into Full Screen), there is no top chrome for BK:

Confirmed fixed using Brackets Sprint 34 b10729 on Mac 10.9. Closing.
