Releases: cloud-elements/g2c-releases
Logging and Connection Enhancements
This release expands the capacity of the log files, which allows for more detailed analysis if there is an issue. Please consider upgrading if you are having difficulty debugging. Also: some users were experiencing problems connecting to QuickBooks immediately after installing the QB Connector; either no connection to QuickBooks was made, or QuickBooks would launch in multiple windows. This fixes that issue.
This build contains additional minor improvements and bug fixes. The latest documentation for Ground2Cloud can be found at http://developers.cloud-elements.com/docs/products/ground-2-cloud/index.html.
Improved User Experience
This release fixes an issue where the QB Connector sometimes didn't connect to QuickBooks after a system reboot, and where it did not display the endpoint in its "Registrations" window. It also has better text messages for some of its errors and alerts.
As always, this build contains additional minor improvements and bug fixes, and the latest documentation for Ground2Cloud is at http://developers.cloud-elements.com/docs/products/ground-2-cloud/index.html.
QB Connector Fixes
This release fixes a problem where you might see "Unhandled UI Exception" while running the QB Connector.
As always, the latest documentation for Ground2Cloud is at http://developers.cloud-elements.com/docs/products/ground-2-cloud/index.html.
Windows 7 stability
This release includes a fix for Cannot find "node.exe"
errors during the installation process that may have occurred on Windows 7 platforms. There are also some restart and stability improvements for that platform as well.
The latest documentation for Ground2Cloud is at http://developers.cloud-elements.com/docs/products/ground-2-cloud/index.html.
Configurability and Restart improvements
This improvement to the client and installer includes much-improved QB Connector restart management, so that the Connector will always be active and connected to any running QuickBooks Enterprise software. It also has a more flexible configuration, allowing you to choose where to install shared components (such as the QB Connector and G2C software itself), and where to install user-specific information such as configuration and log files.
As always, this build contains additional minor improvements and bug fixes, and the latest documentation for Ground2Cloud is at http://developers.cloud-elements.com/docs/products/ground-2-cloud/index.html.
QB Connector Re-release
This release replaces the v0.5.22 release, which was found to be missing some dependencies. Except for versioning changes, and the inclusion of additional dependencies, there is no difference between this and the 0.5.22 release. Please use this release instead of 0.5.22, which has been removed from our release set and is no longer supported.
If you are having trouble installing or using the 0.5.22 release, please uninstall and/or replace with this version, which should address your issues.
QuickBooks Improvements
The QuickBooks bundled installer has additional improvements, including an easier-to-use UI and better API interfacing and the latest libraries and dependencies; some additional changes were made to Ground2Cloud to take advantages of those improvements.
As always, this build contains additional minor improvements and bug fixes. The latest documentation for Ground2Cloud is at http://developers.cloud-elements.com/docs/products/ground-2-cloud/index.html.
QuickBooks and Server Additions
The QuickBooks bundled installer now has numerous improvements and bug fixes, including multiple stabilizations during shutdown / closing and recovery during start up.
Additionally, the Ground2Cloud server supports even more aggregate APIs that are useful for debugging and tracking user progress.
As always, this build contains additional minor improvements and bug fixes. The latest documentation for Ground2Cloud is at http://developers.cloud-elements.com/docs/products/ground-2-cloud/index.html.
Server improvements
The Ground2Cloud server now uses a high-speed Redis database for its registry, which should improve both performance and stability on the server, without sacrificing functionality. In addition, some API functions were added to the server, including the much-appreciated GET /ping
, which allows us to monitor the server from an external monitoring service, such as NodePing, and quickly react if it ever goes down.
The client installer was also streamlined, removing multiple pauses during the installation process where the user was asked to click "OK" to proceed.
As always, this build contains additional minor improvements and bug fixes, and the latest documentation for Ground2Cloud is at http://developers.cloud-elements.com/docs/products/ground-2-cloud/index.html.
Improved Installer
This minor release improves the QuickBooks library portion of the Windows installer in order to avoid any possible problems from faulty QuickBooks component installation. To best ensure that no user encounters these problems, all prior versions of the QB Bundled installers are considered "at risk", and have been removed from this repository. If you have previously installed an older Ground2CloudQbSetup
program, we ask that you uninstall it and replace it with the latest version.
This release also contains server API enhancements, including the ability to specify a local service host and port when leasing a new tenant, making it much easier to manage a multi-tenant configuration.
A few minor enhancements and bug fixes are also included. As always, documentation for Ground2Cloud is at http://developers.cloud-elements.com/docs/products/ground-2-cloud/index.html
