this is still very much a work in progress, just opening it for visibility.
The parquet client has thus far been rather rudimentary, in that it just read the entire file requested and also never updated the data to correspond to the requested schema.
With this PR we aim to introduce two larger features:
Nullof missing fields requested by kernel.
