1. What is Mars
---------------

Mars is a MapReduce framework on graphics processors. The current distribution runs only on the linux operating system. 
However, it is easy to port the code to Microsoft Windows, with few modification.

2. What is Provided
-------------------

The Mars distribution includes the following directories:

docs: our technical report on describing Mars.

MarsLib: the source code of Mars framework.

sample_apps:  the source code for the eight applications coding in Mars. 

Template: a template source to work on.
