Creating an Organization – Name Taken but Inactive

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to create an organization on GitHub, but the name I want is already taken. However, when I try to visit the profile page of that organization, it doesn't exist or appears inactive. It seems like the name is reserved but not in use.

Does anyone know how I can resolve this? Is there a way to request GitHub to free up the name if it's not actively being used?

I’d appreciate any guidance or experiences from anyone who has dealt with a similar issue.

If you try to visit https://github.com/org-name and get a 404 Not Found, the name might still be in use but private.
