Again, this should no impact to existing users but will allow those who want to customise the directory where the logs go to do so. And it allows me to bring my fork closer to the standard module.
If you override these values, you probably to ensure they exist.
Again, if you change nothing this should be no different. Only those if you do override these values does this become valuable.

Allow the location of the logroot of a virtual host to be specified.
By default things will point to the right location, and it will also ensure that the location exists.
