- Adding CodeQL workflow for Python code
- Removing now unused sample generator (this leaves the repository without any NodeJS/Javascript code)
- Bumping certifi, Pillow and protobuf to dependabot recommended versions
- Applying two LGTM recommendations of low-risk findings
