The original house were used as an office building for the fish farm industry, it had 3 changing rooms with showers, seperate toilet, lunch break room and a confernce room upstair. So not particaluar family friendly house. It was built by Bjørnalaks back in 1987, finished in 1989. When the fishfarm went bankrupt in 1992 and Ola G and Alvhild bought the house and the 3500sqm land around it, the rest of the belongings to Bjørnalaks were bought by the nearby farm. We bought the place 1st of October 2019, but moved in 6th of June 2020 when Arianna was born.
Currently we are working on renovating the living room, that's the last remaining room downstairs to renovate, when this is done we can finally relax a bit and enjoy living in the house before turning our energy to upstairs.

The standout features include a new suspended chimney, a well-balanced HVAC system, and a comprehensive electrical upgrade featuring cutting-edge smart home technology with voice assistant integration. The total cost of these renovations amounts to 1.5 million NOK. If you're interested in the details, you can explore the expenses breakdown.

Explore our landscaping details. Our landscaping journey has already begun with the removal of bushes and trees. Our main objective is to create a joyful space for both children and adults, where we can spend quality time with friends and family. We're aiming for low-maintenance upkeep, with occasional high-pressure washing of the rocks every other year. We're even prepping the lawn for a robot mower, and our vision includes a vegetable garden and a greenhouse. Since water activities are central to us, we're incorporating the harbour into the landscaping.
We've also planned for recreational features like a kids playhouse (second-hand, but similar), an in-ground trampoline, a pool, a spa, a lighthouse-shaped diving tower, a wakeboard park, a boat house for kayaks and SUPs, and a football playing area.
