As noted by @tgingold-cern in #44, it would be good to verify not only the generated HDL files but also the generated constant files (via --gen-consts). Thereby, tests should be added to

  • compare generated constant files with golden files
  • try to compile the constant files (at least for VHDL, SV, and C)
